<html> <head> <title></title> </head> <body> <p>The two-day training programme titled &ldquo;Sustainability Applications&rdquo; on agriculture, renewable energy technologies and waste-to-energy Technologies&rdquo; was held at the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus on 6th and 7th December, 2021. The training attracted 37 participants drawn from both students and staff and other stakeholders.</p> <p>The purpose of the programme was to train participants on the concept of sustainability in agricultural practices, the use of renewable energy in animal production and wealth creation from waste recycling. various topics that ranged from sustainable agricultural production, solar energy powered poultry egg incubation, solar poultry day-old chick brooding technology, solar crop drying and solar water heating systems. Prof. Wilfred Ifeanyi Okonkwo gave the opening remarks encouraging the participants to take the training seriously with the aim of understanding the basic concept of &ldquo;sustainability applicability&rdquo; in agriculture and energy generation.</p> <p>The training methodology was interactive as the trainers ensured that knowledge was not only disseminated but accurately perceived and understood by the participants. And in order to ensure this, trainers engaged participants in discussions and kept the forum open for feedback, queries and suggestions.
